Vanessa Hudgens is going on a spiritual, supernatural journey — and wants to take viewers with her.

Hudgens teamed up with Bunim-Murray Productions to produce an unscripted film, “Dead Hot: Season of the Witch,” Variety has learned exclusively. The project documents Hudgens’ journey in Salem, Mass., along with her best friend, musician GG Magree, as they set out to learn about witchcraft, ghost hunting and connecting with the spirit world.

“Dead Hot” is in post-production, and the project is currently being shopped to outlets. Banijay Rights, the international distribution division of Banijay (which owns Bunim-Murray), is handling distribution.

Sony Pictures’ Stage 6 Films has set an all-star cast for its adaptation of Chuck Klosterman’s Downtown Owl with Lily Rabe, Academy Award nominee Ed Harris , Vanessa Hudgens, Finn Wittrock, Jack Dylan Grazer and August Blanco Rosenstein. Rabe will also be directing the pic with long-time collaborator Hamish Linklater, joining her as co-director. Linklater, who most recently starred in Midnight Mass, also adapted the screenplay. T Bone Burnett is doing the music.  The pic is currently in production in Minnesota.

The story is set somewhere in rural North Dakota in 1983 and is the fictional town called Owl where you won’t find cable or pop culture, but you will find a downtown with a first-rate Chevrolet dealership, three bars and a new high school English teacher whose presence upends the lives of locals just in time for a white-out blizzard for the ages. Sony Pictures’ Stage 6 Films acquired worldwide rights to the film.

Vanessa Hudgens will host the MTV Movie & TV Awards: Greatest of All Time,” which premieres Sunday, December 6 at 8 p.m.

The 90-minute tv special will pay homage to the best of the best from the most beloved actors to scene stealing moments from the 1980s until now.

The special will include mostly new material, along with some clips from previous MTV Movie & TV Awards shows. The special also promises “exclusive footage of the most anticipated 2021 releases.” Performers and honorees will be announced later.

Spanning from the 1980s to today, “Greatest of All Time” comes as MTV prepares to mark its 40th anniversary next year (having launched on Aug. 1, 1981).

Check out the first Look of Netflix’s The Princess Switch: Switched Again!

The sequel will premiere November 19th definitely on Netflix— and will be followed a third Princess Switch movie in 2021.

The sequel triples the intrigue as Hudgens not only reprises the roles of Duchess Margaret and Princess Stacy but takes on a third doppelganger: Margaret’s party-girl cousin Fiona, who enters the festive fray. In the movie, which was filmed in Scotland, Duchess Margaret inherits the throne to Montenaro and finds trouble in her relationship with boyfriend Kevin, prompting Princess Stacy of Belgravia to brainstorm a plan to reconnect the lovers. But a handsome royal with designs on Margaret complicates the scenario, as does the arrival of Fiona, who has a joie de vivre as well as a troubled past.

Vanessa Hudgens, Joe Manganiello and Yetide Badaki have joined the growing voice cast of Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, Which is the anime spinoff for Netflix’s upcoming Zack Snyder zombie horror heist thriller, Army of the Dead.

Dave Bautista, Ana De La Reguera, Tig Notaro, Omari Hardwick and Ella Purnell are reprising their feature roles in the anime series. Snyder’s live action movie, currently in post-production, sees Dave Bautista lead an international cast and follows a group of mercenaries who try to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted in a zombie-infested Las Vegas, Nevada.  No debut date is currently set although it is expected to hit in 2021.

Summary of series; “The anime series chronicles the origin story of Scott (Dave Bautista) and his rescue crew during the initial fall of Vegas as they confront the mysterious source of the zombie outbreak.”
