Needless to say this past week’s highlight at the TH forum is Vanessa’s attendance at Vanity Fair’s Oscars After-party – we are at 22 pages as of today (Thursday) or 320 comments (almost 6k views) in the thread dedicated to the event.

As highlighted by Kari in 2009:Highlights and Reflections, 2009 fulfilled and surpassed the promise of new projects, events, features and recognition we hoped for at the beginning of the year. It was filled with hopes and fears, excitements and disappointments, but all in all, it was a great year for Vanessa and I hope for you, her fans.
And here we are, stepping into a new decade and a new year with Vanessa.
This past year was an incredible one for Vanessa and fans. It started, fittingly enough, with High School Musical 3’s last premiere stop and was a wonderful goodbye to the phenomenon that catapulted her to the good and the bad that is the world of celebrity. And for most of us, our introduction to this beautiful young talent.

“I had heard about the signing the other night and wasn’t sure if I could go because my best friend was coming up to visit. But she’s a second grade teacher and she thought it would be cool if she got to meet Vanessa and share with her class, and of course I didn’t object. So we left my house around 11:00 on Sunday morning to head for LA, and didn’t mention to my 18 year old brother that we were going to meet her until we were about 5 minutes down the road. Surprisingly he didn’t kill me, and we were on our way.”
