Congratulations are in order!!!

The LA Times and Broadwayworld.com are confirming that our Vanessa Hudgens will play Mimi in the Hollywood Bowl’s run of the Tony and Pulitzer winning musical, Rent.

Vanessa will play the club dancer and drug addict who has HIV, Mimi Marquez from August 6-8.

This Hollywood Bowl run of the well-love musical will be helmed by Vanessa’s Beastly co-star, Neil Patrick Harris. Here’s what Neil told Broadwayworld.com on Vanessa’s casting:
