Vanessa contributed her widow’s mite to global warming as she turned up the heat on Thursday at the ShoWest gala night where she received an award for the ‘Female Star of Tomorrow’.

Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa’s Beastly co-star, picked up the Male Star of Tomorrow award while assisting Vanessa in turning up the temperature at the gala night.

Prior to the gala night, Vanessa and Alex were joined by the one and only Neil Patrick Harris to preview their upcoming fantasy movie, Beastly, at the CBS luncheon for exhibitors.

Reports filtering in suggests the preview was well-received by the exhibitors and attendees. And no, that has nothing to do with the stunning display of Vanessa’s well-toned legs nor the combined sexiness of Alex and NPH. Not at all.

Beastly is generating buzz and anticipation on its own merit and the gorgeousness of its stars can only be an added bonus. We’re certainly not complaining.

Suffice it to say, we couldn’t be more proud of Vanessa on this award and recognition by ShoWest. We look forward to seeing her upcoming roles in Beastly and Suckerpunch provide the substance and truth to the recognition.
