Today is Vanessa’s 21^st Birthday. A milestone in her uncommon yet remarkable life.

Here at TH, we started our celebrations a bit early, compiling and presenting her with a birthday scrapbook in October. However, because she is not one for any form of self-promotion and one whose light is often hid beneath the bushel of media-induced noise, we thought we’ll make today a day of appreciation of who she is and a day to bless her immensely with our wishes just for the simple pleasures she gives us as we observe her life and career.

To kick off this final leg of the celebrations, the moderators and administrators of Team Hudgens have attempted to summarise in a few words, what we admire in Vanessa and our wishes for her as she steps into her 21^st year.

I often hear people ask what we see in Vanessa and what we find so special about her. Well, in a few sentences…

Bee:

“The future is not a result of choices among alternative paths offered by the present, but a place that is created–created first in the mind and will, created next in activity. The future is not some place we are going to, but one we are creating.” – John Schaar

This quote is everything I feel about what lies ahead for Vanessa as she grows yet another year wiser. The strength, courage, poise && grace that she shows at such a young age is something to be admired, && yet it’s everything to do with her just being who she is regardless of what anyone may preconceive. I look forward to the ever growing aspects of her burgeoning career && the continuing wisdom she’ll exude as a woman.

Heather:

One quality I admire of Vanessa is her determination, her focus on life and her career. Throughout the years she has exceeded many expectations in every which way and has left me in awe of what is to come in the next years. My wish for her is to grow with those characteristics and enjoy doing what she loves for the fun and thrill of it.

Anne:

Courage, determination and humility. There are hardly any more exemplary qualities to have. Vanessa exceeds them all. Her extraordinary personality and her outlook on life has kept her strong through adversities and constant in her ever changing world; she is here to stay and she is proving it. Because she is talent and beauty wrapped up in one, and because the world is always a little brighter when she smiles, I wish her the happiest of days on her 21st birthday.

Kari:

One of the things I admire about Vanessa is the fact that she’s a bona fide triple threat. And so, the thing I wish for her in the years to come is MORE. More movement, more sound, more tools in her actor’s toolbox — to use and develop in all the great projects she has in her future.

Grace:

There are many things I admire about Vanessa since I saw her in HSM.
I admire her character – her inner strength and capacity to overcome challenges and move forward with her life; focusing on things and goals that are important to her.   She has a kind and gracious heart, and a steadfast spirit that is generous and loving to the people who know her best – her family, close friends and Zac. Her self confidence comes from within, and this shows when she chooses projects and relates with other people.  At such a young age, I find her a mature and level headed individual.

Beautiful – inside and out – is how Vanessa appeals to me.
Vanessa, I drink to your good health and more blessings to come your way.
For 2010, I wish your movie Beastly is a success both commercially and professionally.
And lastly, may you always be joyful and happy in your personal life.

Birthdays are meant to be a great celebration in one’s life, much more if it is their 21st. With that in mind, I wish that you will be blessed with amazing projects that will show your zeal, dedication, and stupendous talent! Happy Birthday, Vanessa!

Chay:

Vanessa has the poise and grace of someone much older in age and experience. Her determination and focus in both life and work are just a couple of traits that not only separates her from her peers but also makes her more admirable.

I hope that her 21st birthday is just a start of new adventures in life and career. I can’t wait to see what those adventures are going to be. Cheers!

Ayen:

As you grow and venture out to new things, as a fan, I can do nothing but be there and support and watch over the road you are taking. I wish you the best of everything, may it be family, love and career. Have faith and be strong!! Happy 21st Birthday Vanessa!

Chika:

What I admire most about Vanessa is her poise and grace, be it in success or adversity. Her quiet strength and elegance of manner and speech are as refreshing as they are unique in a young woman. As she steps into her 21st year and beyond, I wish her success where it counts, wisdom to handle life’s choices and contentment in her life.
