“I had heard about the signing the other night and wasn’t sure if I could go because my best friend was coming up to visit. But she’s a second grade teacher and she thought it would be cool if she got to meet Vanessa and share with her class, and of course I didn’t object. So we left my house around 11:00 on Sunday morning to head for LA, and didn’t mention to my 18 year old brother that we were going to meet her until we were about 5 minutes down the road. Surprisingly he didn’t kill me, and we were on our way.”
“We got to City Walk around noon and had some lunch before my little brother took off (afraid he’d be spotted) and my best friend and I went to stand in line around 1:15. The line moved surprisingly quick and by about 2:15 we were inside meeting Vanessa. They ushered us through pretty quickly and kept saying no pictures, although they did allow a few. My best friend had brought with her a Flat Stanley cutout, who is a character from a children’s book that travels the world. So she asked Vanessa to take a picture with it, and she agreed, which was very nice of her. I think though she was slightly confused by who he was and wasn’t sure about it at first. She took the picture anyways though when my friend told her that she had a classroom of second graders who would be ecstatic when they saw their Flat Stanley got a picture with Vanessa Hudgens. After my friend got done, I walked up next and Vanessa signed one of the posters for me, asking who it was for and then having me spell my name for her.”
“Overall it was only a quick minute with her, but it was definitely worth the trip to be able to meet her, get her autograph, and hopefully make a lot of second graders very happy.”

“I got to the store about two hours early, and there were only a little over 20 people in line ahead of me. As others have said, the Skechers staff did not want us to take photos at all, but everyone seemed to be ignoring this rule, so I kept my camera out, too. My hubby was around to take photos of me while I chatted with V. (He’s a keeper, alright!) I told him maybe no flash would be better and less intrusive, but this resulted in crummy photos. I had been working up the courage to ask Vanessa for a photo in lieu of an autograph (and was going to say my boy was sacrificing his as well), but the head Skechers lady yelled at the girl in front of me for asking for a photo, so I chickened out. I should’ve just been pushier; I’m sad now, seeing that others got good photos. This was my sixth time seeing Vanessa in person and I was really hoping to get the photo I so want with her! But this photo will do for now, and it was nice actually getting to talk with her”:
“Vanessa seemed to be her usual happy, peppy self. I gave Vanessa a thank you card and she thanked me and said she was happy I could make it to the event. Oh, and I wished her a happy belated birthday, too. Yay!”

“I went to City Walk to see Vanessa. I was the first in line. You might not get a lot of pics of Vanessa from the event because the management of the store made it clear that there would be no pics. A lady who was coordinating the event specifically stated no pics. The pic that was posted by the person got really lucky. You could only get some pics from outside the store and aimed at the window. ”
“Also, if the line was short then they might aloud pics, but for me I wasn’t lucky. ”
“It went by quick. I stood in line for approximately six hours with my three sons. When the time finally crept closer a photographer came by taking pics of the crowd. What pissed me off a great deal the photographer asked my sons “you know that she a girl and is Vanessa Hudgens” My sons replied “Yea, you know that we are guys” She only signed the RedEcko pictures. I had handed her a magazine to sign and she stated that she was only aloud to sign the pics and nothing else. No other pics were aloud. Vanessa seemed a little upset when she mentioned it. I wanted her to sign my Disney magazine with her as Sleeping Beauty. She remaked that she hadn’t seen it before which I found odd. I’m thinking that maybe she had not seen the final draft of the picture. As for people getting a pic that got lucky. ”
“I read in the post that some went twice. They got extremely lucky. I wanted to keep the band that they handed out but they clipped it before you left the store. It seems that they only wanted the 300 people period.”
“Another interesting thing that I found strange. Everyone that I talked to in line said they had just found out about the event in JJr the day before. They didn’t hear or saw any news about Vanessa being at City Walk. I found that strange. The poster at the store were small. They were placed by the shoes. I saw only two of them. ”
